Plex, a popular media center app has been helping users organize and enjoy their media collections for years. Google Daydream virtual reality added to Plex’s playful platform will enable users to design a personal avatar, spill drinks, throw popcorn, and engage in other antics while hanging out on a virtual couch. The new Plex VR includes 360-degree video, full screen viewing and co-viewing with up to four friends. Plex VR is now available for free from Google’s Play Store or directly in VR via the Daydream app store. For now, usage is free for Plex users although co-viewing will require paying for a Plexpass membership.
