WORDS WITH FRIENDS GUY MOVES INTO VIRTUAL REALITY GAMING
Paul Bettner, founder of NewToy, a mobile gaming company and the co-creator of “Words With Friends” mega-hit, has founded another gaming company–a virtual reality one called Playful. Bundled with every Oculus Rift is “Lucky’s Tale,” a Playful creation. An interview with Bettner reveals his inspiration for his previous startups and games, as well as his latest VR endeavor. He likens his first encounter with an iPhone to that of a first generation Oculus Rift, saying, “I saw something that was clearly and unequivocally going to be the future of many industries, but especially, certainly of interactive entertainment.”
