Hollywood and Silicon Valley are uniting to bring about some of the world\u2019s greatest immersive experiences in VR art and storytelling. Nowhere is this more \u201creal\u201d than at this year\u2019s Tribeca Film Festival, which features hours of VR and AR games, movies, and other up-and-coming mixed reality projects. Some noteworthy immersive experiences include: Blackout<\/em>\u2013a mixed reality NYC subway ride by startup Scatter; Tree\u2013<\/em>a haptic vest and Oculus Rift experience of growing from seed to a Kapok tree; and Arden\u2019s Wake<\/em>\u2013a short immersive animation of a teenage girl living in a \u201cNemo-like lighthouse\u201d in an apocalyptic world. In all, the Tribeca VR Arcade has 29 offerings to experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
