Beverage alcohol leader Diageo has developed an immersive experience where consumers get a front seat view of a drunk driving collision. The experience, appropriately called “Decisions,” demonstrates in virtual reality the immediate impact of a crash along with its quickly ensuing consequences affecting multiple lives. It takes consumers through the journeys of three different vehicles and their passengers, with each story unraveling details of a recent event or occasion for the people to be traveling in their vehicles. Ultimately, the experience brings the viewer into the exact place and time that three vehicles end up in a collision, which the “Decisions” viewer is able to see, hear, and feel. Compatible with all VR headsets, including Samsung Gear VR, Oculus Rift, and Google Daydream, “Decisions” can be accessed by legal-drinking-age consumers through Facebook 360, YouTube 360 and NYT VR.
