Yes, Dearborn’s star child Ford Motor Company, in collaboration with Tool of North America, has developed a virtual reality storytelling app to give its consumers an inside view of special Ford moments. Offering 360 degree views of company innovations, Ford hopes its virtual reality app will appeal to consumers and fans interested in getting up close and personal with pre-designed stories, like Ford GT’s return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Other stories are scheduled for released periodically and Ford offers push notifications for updates on new content. Users can access the content using a mobile phone but will need a VR headset for the fully immersive experience.
