At one of Starbucks’ most luxe coffee shops, customers are now able to immerse themselves in an augmented reality experience while enjoying their favorite coffee or tea. Starbucks Shanghai Roastery debuted the unique feature on December 6, “bringing to life Starbucks’ bean-to-cup story” in a guided, custom-designed tour of various spots throughout the store. Although more Roastery stores are in the works for New York and Chicago, the Shanghai location, covering 30,000 square feet, is twice the size of the one in Seattle and now adds to its splendor the engaging experience of augmented reality.
