In Amsterdam and Berlin, the world’s first virtual reality theaters have opened. Yet it’s hard to call it a theatre since there is no scheduled films. Visitors pay 12.5 euros (about $17), they are given an access to Samsung Gear VR virtual reality glasses and seated on a swivel chair. The VR Cinema can accommodate about 50 people. Each session lasts about half an hour.
It should be noted that the owners already put similar experiments elsewhere in Germany and Switzerland, but eventually decided to open a permanent theater in Amsterdam and Berlin.
