Yuval Bager, Sensics CEO and co-founder of OSVR, has high hopes for the future development of open source virtual reality, according to a recent article penned by the executive creator. Also known as Hackers Development Kit, OSVR is a free software and hardware project designed to enable any headset to be compatible with any virtual reality application. While it has underwent several hardware changes with expanded functionality in the past, Yuval envisions a future OSVR to trend toward the creation of abstract device interfaces, increased exposure of more people to more VR applications, and a reduction in latency. In fact, he expects OSVR to eventually become an “invaluable” resource in the virtual reality industry.
