Atari and Chuck E. Cheese founder Nolan Bushnell has surfaced in the technology field once again, but this time he’s bringing a huge “enterprise-oriented” VR platform with him. Modal VR, Bushnell’s latest baby, demonstrates its potential to enable multiplayers in a large area to interact within a virtual reality stage. Powered by proprietary technology called VR Fabricator units, Modal VR can track the position of large groups of players in areas up to 900,000 square feet per instance. That would be a lot of cables to tether multiple Oculus Rift or HTC Vive headsets, but Modal VR brings a wireless solution to the game.
