Pittsburgh’s renown hub for cutting edge music and audiovisual arts, VIA, has set the stage for VIA X WEIRD REALITY, which will feature for the first time in the city’s history an event dedicated to virtual reality. In partnership with Carnegie Mellon University, VIA X WEIRD REALITY will offer daytime conferences, panels, and workshops led by experienced developers and other VR/AR artists. The four-day event will also offer a free salon hosted by ACE Hotel that will provide public access for all ages to over 15 interactive experiences. Attendees will also get a first look at some of the best local, national, and international VR projects, such as the world debut of SONY Playstation’s SuperHyperCube.
