The brain child of former creatives from DreamWorks Animation, a newly formed Los Angeles-based VR shop intends to partner with larger companies to help draw visibility to their virtual reality content. Spaces, aptly named for the base unit of virtual reality, has already secured a $30 million joint venture with one of the world’s largest theme park operators, China’s Songcheng. The plan for this venture is to incorporate mixed reality elements into existing attractions and create new standalone virtual reality attractions in Songcheng’s China theme parks. Spaces intends to continue focusing on content and technological tools to help new partners remain competitive in the virtual reality and entertainment industry.
