Thanks to drone footage and a handful of virtual reality headsets, children in one of the poorest parts of Asia can experience a world they may never get to visit. Innovative teacher and tech entrepreneur, Hla Hla Win, brought moon walking and wave diving to the classroom using virtual reality. Win acknowledging, “If they’re learning about animals we cant’t them to the zoo . . . 99 percent of parent’s don’t have time, don’t have money, don’t have the means.” With technology starting to make waves of its own in the nation’s capital Yangoon, startups like Hla Hla Win’s 360ed should continue to offer exciting learning opportunities for Myanmar school children.
