While some details have yet to be confirmed, a few perks of Lenovo’s soon-to-be-released VR headset include dual 1440 × 1440 OLED displays, a “PlayStation VR-style” halo strap system, and dual cameras for room-scale positional tracking. Unlike Playstation VR, Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive, Lenovo’s headset will utilize computer vision for tracking, so playing in a room-scale area will not require an external apparatus like the other headsets require. The target weight for the new VR headset according to Lenovo is about 350g, approximately thirty percent lighter than HTC Vive. When Lenovo releases the VR headset later this year, consumers can expect to pay between $300 and $400 for the new technology.
