Canadian-based creator and developer of high-tech devices, Tek Gear, announced this week the launch of its free VR headset as part of its “VR for Everyone” campaign. While virtual reality has struggled with accessibility and affordability issues in the past, Tek Gear president Tony Havelka has made a significant step in positioning VR in the mainstream. According to Havelka, a smartphone and Tek Gear’s FreeHMD is all users will need for their own personal virtual reality system. The free VR headset, available at www.FreeHMD.com, is compatible with apps currently available through Google Play and iTunes. Lightweight and user-friendly, it promises quality performance, wide field of view optics, and a great immersive experience.
