Several companies are rumored to draw a lot of attention to virtual reality at this month’s Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles. Expected to lead the way with their Playstation VR, Japanese tech giant Sony may have to share the stage with Microsoft, maker of Xbox, which allegedly has been working on its own gaming VR headset similar to the Oculus Rift. According to industry experts, the quality of games and other content or VR will be a determining factor in whether the E3 cutting-edge tech will spark consumer spending. Nevertheless, “VR and AR are here to stay,” says Newzoo CEO Peter Walman.
